Humans Previous The Arcturians Next

Appereance: Overall quite humanlike, albeit a bit higher in median. The eyes can be yellow, orange, or other colors in tone. Othari can reach a very high age up to a thousand years. This is often accompanied by technological manners, like prostates or partly robotic bodies, such as hybrid eyes. However, Since they are partly ethereal, a complete mechanical body is no option and they prefer to keep artificial parts close to the original look.

Realm: Material-Ethereal (4.5Q). They are able to fully materialize into the material realm (3Q), but prefer to keep on the higher levels. Since they reached ascention through technology, they are not able to reach fully into 5Q.

Technological evolvement: Advanced Ethereal Physics

Starregion: Orion

Origin: Unknown, oldest known inhabited starsystem: Kepler-452

Total Population: exact unknown, more than 200billion on hundred+ star systems

Government: Collective Federation

Tendencies: Warrior culture, technocratic, honorable, expansive, ambiguous

The starry sky above was a tapestry of constellations, with Orion prominently displayed, its mythological significance echoing through the ages. It is no coincidence that he is now standing on earth, which feels like a younger brother to him – yet a brother, but led dangerously far astray. It was a symbol of their journey, of the battles fought not just with enemies, but within their own hearts. The Orthani had learned to transmute energy into matter, to terraform worlds, and harness the power of stars. Yet, the most difficult task for them was to mutate their own restlessness into peace.

As the Orthani gazed upon the horizon, his thoughts drifted to Humankind. Long ago, the most unhinged people of their own kind had been sent to this sealed world, alongside their enemies, as a last hope that they would learn, leave the cycle of endless samsara, and finally find peace. But Earth had become a hotbed of conflict itself, its inhabitants teetering on the brink of destruction. The Orthani watched with a mixture of hope and dread, fearing that humanity’s ascension could unleash a wrath even they might not be able to contain.

For now, they remained vigilant, their destiny intertwined with the stars and the fate of lesser beings. The Orthani were guardians of the galaxy, stewards of peace and war, ever watchful, ever ready to rise and protect the delicate balance of the cosmos. HOW this would be best practiced, increasingly caused disagreement among his leaders. This, even more than humanities fate, made him inexplicably nervous.

History
The Orthani are one of the most prevalent and expansive empires in the Milky Way galaxy. Their inhabited star systems number over 100, and their population exceeds 200 billion entities. This vast civilization is sustained by highly advanced communication and star travel technologies. However, this did not come without cost; they have destroyed multiple planets throughout the ages. They made their homeworld inhabitable due to unhinged industrialization, long before it was destroyed by the expanding star in their center. It was not the only time they barely avoided extinction during their long-lasting history.

Culture
The Orthani are one of the many star nations existing between material and ethereal realms, but only few are known in the history of this Galaxy which have reached a comparable size. Initially harvesting the energy of stars with Dyson spheres, this is no longer necessary, having mastered the direct transmutation of energy to material and vice-versa. Their unique capacity allows them to terraform multiple planets simultaneously – and even create planets and move stars, which is yet rarely seen in this part of the universe.

Many within the Orthani seek to fully ascend beyond the material plane, but this goal requires overcoming their lingering old ways. Their warrior culture, which values honor, clarity, and strength, remains a core aspect of their identity – but also shows in a technocratic and somewhat militaristic culture, which most of the Orthani are not willing to leave behind. This leads to increasing instability, and voices of a split are becoming more prevalent. The more dark-seeing individuals even speak of possible civil war.

The Orthani played a significant role in the outbreak of the Great War of the first Kaliyuga, an event that, despite occurring over 100 million years ago, remains etched in their collective consciousness. They see their role in preventing any other species from repeating their mistakes, partly due to honor-born benevolence, partly to protect their own stance among the stars.

The Orthani maintain a massive fleet, causing controversy within the alliance, as other members fear that should the Orthani descend into darkness, this could potentially start another Great War. This internal division is further exacerbated by a growing faction within Orthani society that wishes to enforce their warrior tradition. They regard themselves as honorable peacekeepers, whose duty it is to prevent more aggressive species from rising and potentially dragging the galaxy into another dark age.

Stance Towards Earth
The Orthani are particularly concerned about the development on Earth. Long ago, they banished their most aggressive leaders to Earth, a sealed planet, hoping they would find peace. However, aggressive behavior remains prevalent on Earth, and the Orthani fear that if humanity achieves energetic ascension through technological means, they might transcend the seal and build a formidable military empire. While the Orthani have mostly tolerated humanity’s slow progress, they now view current developments with growing concern, with an increasing number of voices calling for intervention.
